Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast as a Category 4 storm on Friday, August 25. Damage from the storm and subsequent flooding is widespread. It will take months, and in some areas years, to restore the areas in which it impacted.
We invite you to stand by our neighbors from the counties of Brazoria and Matagorda during this time. Your gifts ensure that our church will be able to provide help and hope for those left homeless or otherwise affected by this disaster for years to come.
We will begin the long road to recovering from Hurricane Harvey with faith, hope and love as it is one of the most catastrophic storms to hit the country in more than a decade.
As a part of our mission to make disciples, specifically through gospel-centered service, we are called to respond. We are called to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of our friends and neighbors in crisis by praying, giving and using our resources and influence. It is an opportunity to show the love of Christ and live out the gospel to our world.
God bless you,
The Greater Mount Zion Church Family
